WHIRLPOOL WASHING MACHINE MOULD CLASS ACTION filed by CONSUMER LAW GROUP INC.

CONSUMER LAW GROUP has filed a Canadian class action lawsuit against Whirlpool on behalf of individuals who own a Whirlpool Duet, Whirlpool Duet HT, or Whirlpool Duet Sport front-loading washing machine and who have experienced a mouldy or mildew odour from their washing machines or have had to purchase Affresh tablets to avoid such a smell.

The class action is based on a design defect that causes the front-loading washing machines to accumulate mould and mildew residue or growth within the washing machines. As the mould problem became undeniable, Whirlpool began recommending that washing machine owners run successive washer cleaning cycles with an Affresh tablet that they were forced to purchase.

The front-loading washing machines involved include:

• Whirlpool Duet
• Whirlpool Duet HT
• Whirlpool Duet Sport
